Monroe MI is a small town located in the southeastern part of Michigan. It is considered to be the capital of Downriver, which is the southernmost region of Metro Detroit. It's located about 20 miles south of Toledo, Ohio, and 50 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
The 2000 census data shows that Monroe MI had a population of around 46,557 people; its highest count at the time.
